He is actually a gifted game designer (including story, sequence and gameplay) with iOS scripting knowledge and is trained in 3D art also. He founded his company, SBA Mobile Solutions LLP, on 18th March 2008. Alan and his teams of full-time developers and freelancers have been exploring exciting new business opportunities in the global game development and interactive digital media community ever since.

To date, they have developed fun game ideas for several mobile projects (some co-owned by major companies such as Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), was the 1st company in Southeast Asia to complete a playable Sony PS3 prototype using Unity3D game engine in 2011, created a game for a semi-portable rehabilitation system located at the Asian Women’s Welfare Association (AWWA) in November 2013, and also became a pioneer in R&D of Serious Games for patients with cognitive deficits together with a local hospital.

In 2015, he mentored DNA Holdings’ management team in Japan and sold it off at a tidy sum of more than USD1m.

Alan Chan’s best-selling apps are:

In recent years, Alan and his team saw diabetic patients constantly suffer the daily trauma of finger pricking. Despite the advancements in lancets and glucometers, it will never erase the painful foundation of piercing one’s skin to extract blood. Alan and his team believed that blood glucose monitoring shouldn’t lower diabetic’s quality of life. Together with their strong passion for innovation and enterprise, he led his team to the debut of GlucoShine™.
